0 Neisseria infection


DEFINITIONS
Menigitidis Neisseria (meningococcus) is a gram-negative cocci bacteria that live naturally in the body manusis. Meningococcus can cause infection of the membrane covering the brain and spinal cord (meningitis), blood infections and other severe infections in adults and children.
Neisseria gonorhoeae, also a gram-negative cocci naturally in humans, which causes gonorrhea, a sexually transmitted disease that can be related to the urethra, vagina and anus and may spread to the joints.
